Another jab lands for Bisping, and he follows it with a short right hook. Henderson tries a right hand and low kick, the latter of which connects. A jab and inside low kick land for Bisping, then a straight right, then another jab. He lands a sharp double jab, cross, and then a left knee to Henderson’s chin. Right back to the pressure for Bisping again. Huge right hand lands for Henderson and drops Bisping, but Bisping somehow survives the volley of ground strikes and gets back to his feet at the end of the round. Henderson comes up just short on a nicely set-up overhand right that followed a couple of jabs, and now Henderson is getting aggressive. He’s pumping the jab regularly now, pushing Henderson backward and then getting out of range before Henderson can counter. Bisping lands a nice straight right, then a jab a second later. Lots of jabs and left hooks from Henderson early, a nice change of pace that’s allowing him to score and gauge the distance before committing to the right hand. Henderson tries for a takedown, and then comes up high with a short right hand that misses. Bisping is a bit tentative, but his plan is clearly to let Henderson throw and come up short early, then turn it up later. It misses, and Bisping looks for a counter. Henderson lands a hard low kick, his second of the fight, and then we see the first overhand right of the fight. He’s throwing left high kicks to pin Henderson’s monstrous right hand in place and hurt his forearm, which will take some pop off the punch. Round 1: Bisping comes out cautious, looking to pressure Henderson a bit.
